New students joining GLOW

This is Keilar Trever, one of the newest children to join us at GLOW.

Her mother, Grace, had heard how well our children were doing — and she wanted that same chance for her daughter. So she brought her to us. On her very first day, Keilar was welcomed in by her teacher, Mrs Sophy, and introduced to a room full of new friends. You can imagine the nerves, and then the smiles.

Children like Keilar often come to us with no school place at all, or after walking miles every single morning to a state school where one teacher might be juggling several classes at once. These children want to learn so badly — but the resources just aren't there.

That's where GLOW is different. Small classes, teachers who know every child by name, two hot meals a day and clean, safe water. The simple things that let a child stop worrying and start thriving.

Money is tight, it always is. But with you behind us, we can keep opening our doors to children from the very poorest homes — and to the young girls whose education can go on to change everything, not just for them, but for their whole community.
