Made by Hand: A PE Lesson at GLOW School

There's a lot of learning packed into this photo. These are GLOW School pupils out on the field for today's studies, and the bright markers in their hands aren't shop-bought — the children made them.
Each one started life as a used plastic bottle. Wrapped in waste paper and finished with a cone of rolled paper on top, they became the perfect field markers for a PE lesson — turning what would have been rubbish into tools for play and learning.
With their markers set out, the class worked through the forward roll and the V-balance — building the coordination, strength and confidence that good physical education gives every child.
It's a small moment, but a telling one. At GLOW, resources are limited, so creativity isn't a luxury — it's how learning happens. A handful of bottles and some scrap paper became a morning of movement, teamwork and fun.
Moments like these are only possible because of our supporters. Every donation helps us keep these children learning, playing and thriving. Thank you for being part of it.
